Marking 75 years of Scouting in Catterick Village in true Scouting fashion, our youth members and volunteers gathered at Thornthwaite Scout Camp in scenic Nidderdale for a celebratory group camp in September 2026. The adventure began Friday evening with camp setup and a special investiture ceremony for our newest volunteer leader. By Saturday, our Squirrels had joined the mix for a full day of action—including slingshots, laser mazes, crate stacking, traversing wall, shelter building, knots, and outdoor cooking to name but a few—capped off by a traditional campfire with fantastic skits from our Cubs. Take a look through the highlights below to see our amazing Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Squirrels, and volunteers in action! Team BACSA what a weekend we had!
