Our young leaders really are pivotal in our group. They being an added and unique dynamic to our young people and we really can’t thank them enough for all they do!
In cubs we have Sophie aka Mowgli, who had this to say..
“I volunteer because of the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, which encourages me to try new things and support my community. Through volunteering, I’ve gained confidence, met great people, and had some amazing experiences. One of my favourite Scouting memories is the chip challenge—we spent the evening going around town trying to find the best chips. It was simple but so much fun, and it brought everyone closer together.”
In beavers we have Edward aka Owl who said…
“I started volunteering as I have very good memories with scouting.As well as my brother Arthur Raven doing young leadering so I thought it’d be fun so I did volunteering and am thoroughly enjoying it.I also get better experience with young people which makes me feel that i will be super good if i decide to do something like it for a job when I grow up.”
