Welcome to Brompton & Catterick St Annes Scout Group
Brompton & Catterick St Annes Scout Group is a vibrant and inclusive Scout community based in Catterick Village, proudly serving Catterick, Brompton-on-Swale, Scorton, and nearby villages. We’re part of the Richmondshire District Scouts and committed to delivering adventurous, skill-building experiences for young people of all backgrounds.
We meet at our Scout Hall in Catterick Village (DL10 7JY) — a friendly and welcoming space where the adventure begins each week.
After facing the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, we officially reopened in March 2022, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter. In January 2023, two well-established groups — 1st Catterick St Annes (est. 1951) and 1st Brompton-on-Swale (est. 1970) — formally merged to form the group we are today.
The merger responded to a post-pandemic drop in youth participation and adult volunteer numbers. By uniting, we’ve built a stronger, more resilient Scout Group with renewed energy and purpose.
At the heart of our group is Team BACSA — our dedicated team of volunteers who ensure every session is safe, fun, and inspiring. From Beavers to Scouts and beyond, we offer exciting programmes that help young people grow in confidence, learn valuable life skills, and forge lasting friendships in a positive, supportive environment.
Whether you’re a young person keen to join, a parent wanting to get involved, or an adult ready to volunteer, there’s a place for you in our community.
