We’re looking to start a brand-new Explorer Scout Unit right here in Catterick Village!With the recent launch of the all-new Explorer Scout programme, there’s never been a better time to get involved.
Explorers is a space where every young person can belong, but nobody has to fit the mould. It’s entirely youth-led and focused on giving teenagers the skills they need to thrive in the real world.
What do Explorers do?
🧗♀️ Rock climbing, hiking, and everyday adventure
🏕️ Planning independent camping trips and expeditions
🏅 Earning fresh new badges like Life Skills, STEM, and Democracy
🚀 Smashing their DofE and new Challenge Awards (like Employability and Leadership!)
We want to bring these opportunities to Catterick village, but first, we need to know if the numbers are there to make it happen! We are planning to run our sessions on a Tuesday evening (alternate weeks) with a potential start date of Jan 2027.
